Mansfield's Pink Packing Party

This November, Mansfield is coming together to make a difference for women and girls experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic and family violence or simply doing it tough.

Share the Dignity is an Australian women's charity working to ensure that women, girls and anyone who menstruates has access to essential period products when they need them most. Because when someone is facing homelessness, escaping violence or struggling to make ends meet, the last thing they should have to worry about is managing their period without the products they need.

One of the charity's major annual initiatives is It's in the Bag, which provides bags filled with everyday essentials, personal care products and thoughtful extras to women and girls experiencing hardship.

THAT'S WHERE YOU COME IN!

Hosted by WiNE Network and powered by Muddy Hill Co., Mansfield's Pink Packing Party brings local businesses, community organisations, volunteers and residents together to support this wonderful initiative.

The idea is simple. Fill bags with everyday essentials, add a few thoughtful extras and remind someone going through a difficult time that they haven't been forgotten.

Our goal is to pack 200 bags:

120 Adult Bags
40 Teen Bags
40 Mum & Bub Bags

And there are plenty of ways to get involved. Whether you donate one essential item, put together a complete bag or register to help pack, every contribution makes a difference.

DONATE ONE EXTRA ITEM

You don't need to fill a whole bag to make a difference. Next time you're doing the groceries or popping into town, add one extra essential item to your shopping basket.

We're collecting new, unopened personal care products, including shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, roll-on deodorant, soap, body wash and period products.

We're also collecting suitable baby care items and thoughtful extras.

JOIN US AT THE PINK PACKING PARTY!

Saturday 14 November 2026 | 11am–2pm | High Street median strip, opposite the Commercial Hotel

We're bringing a little extra community spirit to Mansfield's main street, with music, a Rotary sausage sizzle and the opportunity to write Dear Her cards. These heartfelt messages of encouragement will be tucked into the bags, reminding women going through difficult times that someone out there cares.

Our registered WiNE participants will be busy turning donated essentials into bags ready for Share the Dignity, and we'd love you to be part of it!

WE'RE PAINTING THE TOWN PINK!

We're also inviting businesses along High Street to get behind the Pink Packing Party by adding a splash of pink to their shopfronts.

One of our team will be calling past with campaign posters and balloons, and we'd love to see Mansfield's main street showing its support. It's a simple way for our local businesses to get involved, help spread the word and show what a wonderful community we have.

PACK A COMPLETE BAG

Would you prefer to put together a bag yourself?

Choose a handbag, tote bag or backpack. It can be new or second-hand, provided it's clean, in excellent condition and something you'd be happy to receive yourself.

Fill it with the required essentials, add a few thoughtful extras if you'd like and attach the correct coloured ribbon.

Completed bags can be dropped off at Community Bank Mansfield & District Bendigo Bank.

WHAT GOES IN A BAG

Every bag must contain the essential items required by Share the Dignity. Different bag types have additional requirements.

Please check the official Share the Dignity checklist before packing your bag so nothing essential is missed.

All personal care products must be new and unopened.
